Close birds "book in Swedish"
Birds. No other in the wild is as close to us. No other animal can warm the heart, arouse curiosity and raise the pulse of so many of us. In Close Birds you meet these closest to us as you have never met them before.
Roine Magnusson – nature’s own studio photographer – has taken pictures that not only capture every little feather with razor-sharp clarity, but also reveal the characters of the different bird species, and even the individual birds themselves. The pictures are the result of a long-standing search for a new way to capture birds on film. Roine has been fascinated by birds all his life and has also worked as a bird ringer, something that has been of great use when he has worked with the birds. The emphasis is on everyday species, those that are all around us and fill our lives with life. The same perspective permeates the book’s texts. “We are not trying to understand why birdwatchers are interested in rare birds,” write the authors Mats and Åsa Ottosson. “We are more curious about why almost all people are touched by the most everyday bird experiences.
